Equipment for handling and distilling crude

Edatm supplies equipment used in crude-oil refining and in moving crude around a plant. Shell-and-tube exchangers warm the crude before the furnace by taking heat from hotter streams. Valves and piping isolate and connect those streams. Pumps move the crude. Vessels and column sections are quoted against a design code and a design pressure. The heavy-haul photograph shows vessel sections on trailers, which is the scale of that equipment. It is not a claim that those particular sections are ours.

  • We supply the equipment. We do not operate the refinery and we do not sell the crude.
  • ASME, TEMA, API 600, API 6D and API 610 are used when the order names them.
  • A duty or a line list is more useful than a single adjective like 'heavy'.

Each one is specified differently.

  • Exchangers

    Flows, temperatures, pressures, materials, TEMA type.

  • Valves

    Type, size, class, ends, body and trim.

  • Pumps

    API 610 centrifugal pumps when that is the required standard. Rate and head.

  • Vessels

    Code, design pressure, temperature, material, and a drawing for a replacement.
